Scope & definitions
These terms apply to every quote, order, installation, and subscription between Drivewatch and its customers, and to the use of our website. By requesting a quote or placing an order, you accept these terms.
- Drivewatch — the trade name of the Dutch VOF described in section 11.
- Customer — the consumer (B2C) or business (B2B) entering into an agreement with us.
- Hardware — the dashcam devices and accessories we supply and install.
- Service — the Drivewatch app, platform, and the Drivewatch Live subscription.
Website use & intellectual property
You may use our website for information and to request our products and services. You may not copy, scrape, or reuse its content for commercial purposes without our written permission.
All trademarks, product names, and brand assets — including Drivewatch®, Drivetag®, and LiveView® — together with the software, designs, and text on this site are the property of Drivewatch or its licensors. Nothing on the site grants you any licence to them except as needed to use the service you bought.
Quotes & pricing
Prices shown on the website and in our configurator are estimates to help you plan. A binding price is only the one stated in a written quote we send you.
Unless stated otherwise, a written quote is valid for 30 days from its date. After that, prices and availability may change.
All prices are in euros. For consumers, prices include VAT; for businesses, prices are shown excluding VAT unless noted.
Purchase, installation & payment
An agreement is formed when you accept our quote and we confirm it. We then schedule an installation appointment at a time that works for you.
- Consumers (B2C) pay on the day of installation, once the hardware is fitted and working. There is no online payment step — you are never asked to pay upfront through the website.
- Businesses (B2B) are invoiced according to the terms set out in their quote or contract.
Risk in the hardware passes to you on installation. Where relevant, ownership passes once full payment has been received.
Warranty
We provide a one-year warranty on hardware against manufacturing and material defects, starting from the installation date. If a covered device fails, we will repair or replace it at no charge.
The warranty does not cover damage from misuse, accidents, unauthorised modification, or normal wear. Your statutory consumer rights under Dutch law are unaffected by this warranty.
Drivewatch Live subscription
Drivewatch Live powers LiveView, cloud footage, and connected features. Your first year is included with your hardware.
| Period | Price | Renewal |
|---|---|---|
| Year 1 | Free included with hardware | — |
| Year 2 onward | €180 / year | Opt-in you choose to renew |
Renewal is opt-in — the subscription does not auto-charge you into a new term. If you choose not to renew, the hardware keeps working for local recording, but connected features that depend on the service will stop.
B2B / rental contract terms
Business customers can buy outright or take hardware and service on a rental basis. Rental agreements run for a fixed term:
- 36-month contract — our standard fleet term, including hardware, service, and support.
- 12-month contract — a shorter commitment for smaller or seasonal fleets.
The specific term, monthly fee, and end-of-term options are set out in each customer's individual contract, which prevails over these general terms where they differ.
Consumer right of withdrawal
As a consumer, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal (herroepingsrecht) for distance purchases, during which you may cancel without giving a reason.
Because installation is a service performed at your request and fits the hardware to your specific vehicle, the right of withdrawal may end once installation has, with your consent, been completed. We will always make this clear before we begin.
To withdraw, contact us at info@drivewatch.nl within the period and we will guide you through the steps.
Liability
Drivewatch helps reduce risk and provides evidence after incidents, but no security or safety system can offer absolute protection. We do not guarantee that the hardware or service will prevent every accident, theft, or loss.
Except in cases of intent or gross negligence, our liability is limited to the value of the agreement and does not extend to indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Dutch law.
Governing law & disputes
These terms and any agreement with Drivewatch are governed by Dutch law. We would always rather resolve a problem directly — so please contact us first and give us the chance to put things right.
If we cannot reach a solution together, the dispute will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
